On May 4, 1961, over 300 individuals boarded buses to stand for something that they believed in. These courageous individuals took action in order for me to have the rights that I have today. Not only did they do something that many of us would be afraid to do today, but they took a non-violent approach. I have the utmost respect for these individuals! And I am forever grateful for their selflessness!
